INTRODUCTION

Light aviation is associated with "Liaison/Utility" and "Non-Combat" aircrats without being a synonym as not all liaison aircrafts are light nor are all lights aircrafts unarmed.   Thus Light Aviation is more a genre inside Atlantic Air Combat™ than a category of aircrafts as these are more related to their (combat) role within the game.   Having said that, there is room for non-combat flying within AAC, and while most if not all aircrafts are available for free non-combat flying simulation, light aviation is definitely devised with that spirit in mind.

The genre essentially cover two kinds of aircrafts : light aircrafts and gliders.

LIGHT AIRCRAFTS

As mentioned these are used within the game, essentially for liaison but also for some secondary fighting role.   The idea is not to cover all possible types either produced or operational during the mid-sixties but to mimick several iconic machines.  While AAC aircrafts will be AAC designs, the following aircrafts will be sources of inspiration :

GLIDERS

There will be three designs : a classic single seater, a class two seater and a flying wing.  These are not linked to any group of AAC countries and are thus universal.  The tow aircraft will be the same for all designs.  AAC gliders will be AAC designs, but the following sailplanes will be sources of inspiration :

Glider Specifications

While these three designs will differ in appearance and dimensions, their "performances" will be identical.  Preliminary details :
