Introduction

If rapidly retired from USAF inventory after the second world war, as most piston engined fighters were, the P-47 Thunderbolt was widely exported and remained on the inventory of various air forces until the 1960s.   Actually, with Venezuela not retiring them before the early ... 1970s, it's almost unavoidable to have the Thunderbolt included in AAC.

With essentially the "D" variant being exported it's the type AAC should portray but as the "N" has a little more to offer, the door is open for a little cheat here....

-   -

Specifications

The specs of the main P-47 variants are outlined below, with only the late "D" or the "N" being of interest for AAC.

The gun ammunition boxes
Regarding the amount of ammunitions available for each gun, it is understood that, historically, the "D" would either carry 267 rpg when carrying extra stores (bombs) or 425 rpg when not.  No such limitation seems to be referrred to regarding the P-47N.  A matter for revision if well founded objections are received

The MTOW in AAC
With AAC referring to a slightly different mass ratio for fuel and ammunition, weights are thus re-calculated the AAC way for both late "D" and "N" variants.  This is not consistent with reality naturally, but whichever variant(s) would be present in AAC, that's how they will show.  In practice it means :
The AAC P-47D will not be restricted in guns ammos (but underwing loads is either 2×bombs or 2×drop tanks or 10×HVAR)
The AAC P-47N will not be restricted at all (full gun ammos, full external stores and quite a bit or extra range)
